Executive Director
*currently on maternity leave - we wish Brittany all the best during her first year as a parent!*
Brittany Cormier (she/her)
Brittany stepped into the Executive Director role of EOS Eco-Energy after the incredible decade-long leadership of Amanda Marlin at the helm. Hired by Amanda into the EOS team in 2022, Brittany began as the Sackville Climate Change Coordinator from which she transitioned to Tantramar’s coordinator and EOS climate change projects manager in 2023. She supported Tantramar Director of Community and Corporate Projects Kieran Miller with mitigation efforts, the development of the municipal climate lens, and climate initiatives. She now leads the climate change adaptation and watershed projects within her role as ED. From a non-profit background, Brittany started her career in the non-profit environmental sector with the Petitcodiac Watershed Alliance in 2018-2019, leading scientific monitoring efforts in the longstanding water quality monitoring program and coordinated green infrastructure projects under the water guardian program. She has experience in implementing solutions on stormwater management, flood mitigation, shoreline stabilization, habitat connectivity, data management, and environmental policy pathway development from years of field work and environmental project delivery. She is also a certified wetland delineator and assessor with experience working with on tidal and non tidal wetlands. She has a multidisciplinary educational background during which she completed the University of King’s College’s Foundation Year Programme, studied in International Development at Dalhousie University in Halifax, and graduated from Mount Allison University in with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Environmental Studies with a focus on environmental policies.

In October 2024, she moved into the role of Acting Executive Director while Brittany is away on maternity leave. A resident of Sackville since 2015, she holds a BSc in Physics, Mathematics and Environmental Science from Mount Allison University. She will be starting her MSc in Environmental Practice at Royal Roads University in September 2025.
Climate Change Projects Manager
Janie Brooks (they/them)
Janie moved to Sackville in 2019 and has since graduated from Mount Allison University, where they earned a BSc Honours in Biology. Their thesis investigated the pollination dynamics of solitary oil bees and yellow loosestrife plants found locally at the Sackville Stormwater Retention Pond. Being a strong and enthusiastic science communicator, Janie thoroughly enjoyed the outreach and education aspects of conducting ecological research. They are dedicated to grassroots activism that addresses the intersection of climate action and social justice. Janie loves spending time outdoors and can often be found hiking, walking their neighbours’ dogs, bird-watching, and observing cool plants and insects.
Community Garden & Green Spaces Coordinator
Caitlin McNamara (she/her)
Caitlin is a young professional who is still fairly new to New Brunswick, she has a broad background in science and agriculture, with a recent splash of community research and development within Tantramar. Caitlin obtained her B.Sc. in Chemistry in Ontario, and followed it up with Plant Science Technology and Cool Climate Wine and Viticulture in Nova Scotia. After managing a small organic vineyard at an Annapolis Valley winery for a number of years, she decided to branch out into more community-based work when she moved to New Brunswick last fall. Caitlin is eager to work with EOS and the Sackville Community Garden to promote the local green spaces, and she hopes to get everyone excited about growing plants and learning about the environment around them!
