Go Transpo Action Plan

Action Workshop

On February 26, EOS hosted an Action Workshop, bringing together stakeholders from across the region to create an action plan based on the recommendations in the Go Transpo Feasibility Study. A wide variety of sectors were represented at the workshop inclusing local and provincial government, NGO’s, business charitable organizations and community members. Presentations from academics and community transportation champions served to inspire participants to take action.

Eight separate projects were called during the Pro-Action Cafe and participants were given the opportunity to provide and receive feedback on projects they were passionate about. These project ideas were not left at the workshop; participants took the lead on a number of projects and have made a plan for their next steps.

The initiatives coming from the workshop include:
– Go Transpo Succession
– Fundy Flyer Rural Transit Service
– Carshare Moncton
– Maritime Rideshare
– Cap-Pélé – Shediac Transportation Solution
– Intermodality
– Municipal Plan Rewview for the City of Dieppe
– Rural Dial-a-Ride
