EOS Offers Workshop for Teens on Ways to Cope with Climate Stress

Are you worried and stressed about climate change and the future of our communities and the planet? You are not alone and there are things we can do to ease our minds. EOS Eco-Energy is partnering with IRIS Community Counselling and Consulting to put on a workshop about how to cope with climate stress. This first climate stress workshop is open to Tantramar area teens aged 13 to 18 and will take place Saturday, November 10th, 1-2:30pm at Open Sky Farm, 12 Folkins Drive, Sackville, NB.

“Participants can chat about climate change, ask questions, share their thoughts, and learn tips for dealing with stress and anxiety in a fun and supportive environment,” explains Amanda Marlin, executive director with EOS. Krista Royama of IRIS says that, “IRIS Community Counselling & Consulting is thrilled to have the opportunity to partner with EOS Eco-Energy in helping to both educate and equip our future generation with the knowledge and skills to make better choices for themselves and the environment.”

Thanks to funding from the New Brunswick Environmental Trust Fund the workshop is free to attend but spaces are limited so please pre-register. For more information including assistance with travel to Open Sky, and to register your teen, contact EOS.
