EOS acknowledges that our work is done on the traditional, unceded lands and waters of the Mi’kmaq. We are observing this day because it is meant to honour survivors of residential schools, their families and communities. Public commemoration of history is vital in the reconciliation process and is one of the 94 Truth and Reconciliation Commission calls to action.
