CARE Week 2026
EOS is excited to announce this year’s Climate Change and Renewable Energy (CARE) Week which will be taking place from Saturday February 7 – Friday February 13!

Saturday February 7:
You can find EOS Eco-Energy at the Sackville Farmer’s Market (Tantramar Civic Centre, 182 Main St, Sackville, NB) from 9 am – 12 pm.
EOS is partnering with local community member Emilie McBride to host a FREE canning workshop at Open Sky Co-operative (12 Folkins Drive, Sackville, NB) from 1-3:30 pm. Registration is required and spots are limited! Registration link: https://forms.gle/
Participants will gain hands-on experience with hot water bath canning. We’ll make vegetable pickles and a fruit jam, and we’ll cover all the tips, tricks, and safety precautions for how to make your own preserves at home. Thank you to the Mount Allison Students’ Union for funding this workshop!
Monday February 9:
EOS is partnering with the Mount Allison Geography & Environment Society to host a FREE clothing swap from 11 am – 3 pm in Tweedie Hall in the Wallace McCain Student Centre (60 York Street, Sackville, NB). Donations can be brought to the EOS office (43D Main St, Sackville, NB) in advance of the swap, or brought directly to the swap. Open to anyone- not just students!
Tuesday February 10:
EOS is partnering with Woody Thompson (Fundy Solar) and Zac Wheeler (Wheeler Electric) to host a FREE solar education workshop from 12-2 pm at the Tantramar Civic Centre (182 Main Street, Sackville, NB). The workshop will include a presentation, time for questions, and an optional visit to a local home that has had solar panels installed! (Carpooling for the visit to the solar panels will be arranged the day of). No registration required!
Friday February 13:
EOS staff will be hosting a virtual webinar from 12-1 pm that will provide information about flood proofing your home! No registration required. Zoom link to join: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/
