Efficiency NB is now offering a $2,500 incentive towards a qualifying solar hot water system and $200 towards a qualifying drain water heat recovery system if the homeowner completes an energy efficiency assessment.
Did you know? Water heating makes up 20–30% of the total energy consumption in your home.
With a Solar Domestic Hot Water System, homeowners can reduce their annual water heating costs by up to 60% with a typical two-panel system. Drain Water Heat Recovery Systems reduce annual water heating costs by up to 30%. That adds up to substantial savings! These systems can save you money and reduce your need for electricity or other fuels to heat your water.
The goal of the Solar Hot Water Campaign is to make it easier and more affordable for homeowners to go solar by organizing a group discount, working with a reliable local installer, and providing you with objective information and advice along the way. Discounts will depend on the number of participants registered in the program.
To enroll in the solar hot water campaign and to receive a free site assessment, please contact Katie Friars at (506) 536-4487. The deadline for campaign registration is November 30th, 2011.
(Note: The savings realized through bulk purchasing will be calculated based on the number of people who register for the campaign.)
