Living off the Grid
EOS is happy to host talks on living off the grid. Our first took place on October 18th at Open Sky Farm in Middle Sackville. Wendy Keats and Jim Brown spoke about their experiences living off the grid in south east New Brunswick. Wendy has lived off grid for 10 years. Jim explained how the technology of solar hot water, photovoltaic panels, wind turbines, and micro hydro systems work. The talk was attended by 47 people and the story was featured on CTV Atlantic evening news. Watch the coverage here. Check back soon for our full workshop report. This event was funded by the New Brunswick Environmental Trust Fund.
Wendy Keats explains her experiences and lessons learned 10 years ago as she moved off grid.
**Stay tuned for the date and time of our next talk on living off the grid during winter 2015!**
