PCP Milestone 4 (2019-2020) -Project (Report)- CA & E
Partners for Climate Protection
The Partners for Climate Protection (PCP) program, from ICLEI — Local Governments for Sustainability (ICLEI Canada) and the FCM – Federation of Canadian Municipalities , helps municipalities to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions. Municipal governments influence or control half the sources of Canada’s GHG emissions. Taking action is an opportunity to save money, lower energy costs and increase investment in the local economy.
This takes the form of a five-step Milestone Framework that guides municipalities/communities through reducing emissions, and therefore taking action against climate change.
Milestone 4: Implement the Local Action Plan
Milestone 4 measures a municipalities/communities ability to implement their emission reduction action plan.
It involves describing the degree to which items in your emission reduction plan have been implemented, changes to the plan and timelines for each measure.
Sackville, Dorchester and Port Elgin have completed Milestone 4 and the updates to their action plans are listed below. These have been submitted to the PCP program.
