Municipal Energy Audit Support

EOS Eco-Energy provides support to member municipalities in implementing energy conservation plans by:

1. Providing research support to identify and evaluate projects based on cost, energy savings and greenhouse gas emission reductions and;
2. Assisting with seeking out and applying for funding to complete projects.

Energy audits have been performed on municipal buildings in the Town of Sackville and Villages of Dorchester and Port Elgin. The EOS project coordinator has met with each municipality to discuss the energy audit that was performed on their municipal buildings. We have played a key role in ensuring that all questions and concerns regarding the energy audit report were answered thoroughly by the company who conducted the energy audit. This resulted in adjustments and corrections to each municipality’s audit report. The project coordinator is also available to research funding opportunities that are available for implementing measures that were recommended in the audit report; however, most municipalities will be using New Brunswick gas tax funds or other Federal/Provincial funding.
